Alex Balog

Alex, 24, was born and raised in Saratoga. He attended Archbishop Mitty High School, played Water Polo & Baseball, having earned All-League honors in both sports. He was a part of the #1 nationally ranked 2010 Mitty Baseball team (voted by Rival Sports & Perfect Game Baseball), which won the 2010 CCS, WCAL, and WCAL Round Robin Championships. He was also named the 2010 CCS Player of the Year. Alex was recently a 2017 Archbishop Mitty Hall Of Fame Inductee.
Alex went on to play Division 1 Baseball at the University of San Francisco. He pitched and played 1st base for the Dons and was named to the 2011 West Coast Conference All Freshman Team. That same year the Dons won their first WCC Title, advancing to their second ever regional. In 2013, Alex helped the Dons reach their third Regional; following the regional Alex was drafted in the 2nd Round by the Colorado Rockies in the 2013 MLB Baseball Draft (70th Overall).
Alex began his professional career with the Rockies in Rookie Ball with the Grand Junction Rockies. The following season he played in Low-A with the Asheville Tourists, helping them win the South Atlantic League Championship. In 2015, Alex made his way back to California and played the season in High-A with the Modesto Nuts. He split time between AAA (Albuquerque Isotopes) & AA (Hartford Yard Goats) in his 2016 & 2017 Seasons.
