Nate graduated from Lincoln High School in San Jose, Ca in 2001 where he played both baseball and basketball. After attending San Jose City College from 2002-2004 he received a scholarship to play baseball at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. During his senior campaign, Nate was a member of the CAA Tournament All-Tournament team and later signed a professional baseball contract with the Colorado Rockies Organization.
After playing two seasons in the Colorado organization, Nate began his coaching career at his alma mater SJCC in 2007. For the next two season Nate served as an assistant coach at Saratoga and Los Gatos High schools. He was elected to the Lincoln High school Baseball Hall of Fame in April 2010 and coached at Leigh High School in San Jose, Ca from 2011-2014. Coach Anderson has been an associate MLB scout since 2008 and is currently the head coach at Los Gatos High School.
Nate graduated with a Bachelors Degree in History from VCU in 2006 and earned his Masters in Education from National University in 2015. Coach Anderson teaches Physical Education at Oak Grove High School.
