Coach Danielle Peterson was born and raised in San Jose. She attended Archbishop Mitty High School where she played softball and basketball.

Danielle was a member of the UCLA softball team from 2005-08 where they made three Women’s College World Series appearances. She was coached by Hall of Famer, Sue Enquist and current UCLA head coach, Kelly Inouye-Perez who is the 2019 Women’s College World Series Champion. After graduation, she spent the 2009 season as a graduate assistant.

Following her college experience , Danielle began her career giving private hitting lessons in Long Beach, California. She was the head coach of the Jets Gold U18 travel ball team, and worked at Los Alamitos High school until 2016. During that span, she was able to work with talented athletes that have gone on to excel at the college and professional level.

In 2017 Coach Peterson was hired at Santa Clara University as an Assistant softball coach. She had the opportunity to coach with two other UCLA Bruin softball alumni and was excited to be back in the Bay Area. After two years coaching Division 1 softball, Danielle is grateful for the opportunity to be able to share the knowledge she has acquired by playing and coaching at the highest level.
